Eligibility Requirements

The National Forum on Family Philanthropy is specifically designed for giving families. Registration is open to individual donors and family members, trustees and staff of family foundations, community foundation donors, family offices, family businesses, and community foundation CEOs or senior staff responsible for family philanthropy services. Consultants, philanthropic advisors and representatives of banks, financial institutions and all other for-profit entities are ONLY eligible to attend through Sponsorship. To create an environment for safe, candid discussions and peer-to-peer networking and conversation, registration will be capped at 450 registrants.

Join the Community Foundations Family Philanthropy Network

This network supports the special roles community foundations play as a trusted resource and partner to giving families. Network members participate in peer learning through topical calls, webinars, in-person sessions, and new articles and case studies. Registration

Friends of the Family and Funders: Only Friends of the Family are eligible for the discounted Early Bird reduced registration fee. Those eligible are direct supporters of NCFP, such as our Friends of the Family, and who do not receive NCFP resources through another organization. Family foundation staff, trustees, and family members are invited to register.

NCFP Community Foundations Family Philanthropy Network: Only community foundation subscribers may register and are eligible for the Early Bird rate. Members are invited to send their CEO or a senior staff member responsible for family philanthropy services. Due to limited space, one staff member per community foundation may initially register. Please contact NCFP at ncfp@ncfp.org if a second person would like to be added to the registration waiting list.

Cancellations

National Forum: Through August 18 a full refund minus a $150 processing fee will be given. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to ncfp@ncfp.org. No refunds will be issued beginning August 19, 2017.

Hotel Reservations

Leighty-FoundationA limited number of rooms are reserved at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel at the special National Forum rate of $325 per night (plus applicable taxes). The reserved rooms and special rate will be available until September 22, 2017, based on availability. After September 22, reservations may not be available at the Forum rate. ROOMS MAY SELL OUT BEFORE September 22.

Reservation by website: Renaissance Washington Hotel reservations: book, modify, or cancel. Indicate your bed type preference (king and double/double are available) in the special requests area and the hotel will try to honor your request.

Hotel cancellations are accepted up to midnight 2 days prior to expected arrival date. If reservations are not cancelled prior to this time, one room night and tax charges will be billed to the credit card on file.

Attire

Attire for the National Forum is business casual. Meeting room temperatures vary, so you may want to plan accordingly.

Photo Release

Please note that to encourage frank and meaningful discussion, this conference is designed as a safe space for candid conversations, and no concurrent sessions will be recorded. NCFP will however, from time to time, use photographs or videos of program participants in its promotional materials, or live stream selected plenary sessions. All program participants acknowledge that they may be photographed or videotaped by NCFP or its official photographer while at the program and that these images may be used in future print and electronic promotional materials. Please contact ncfp@ncfp.org or 202.293.3424 within 48 hours of conclusion of the program if you do not want your likeness to be used in this way.

Program Participant List

For networking purposes, the National Forum will include the distribution of a participant list that provides the following contact information for each individual attending the program: first name, last name, foundation/organization name, city, state, and email. If you do not wish to have your email included, please indicate that when completing the registration form.
