Forum Agenda

Across three days of sessions and networking, the 2024 National Forum on Family Philanthropy will explore the power of bold decision-making to effect change. The program will be a learning journey that begins by asking bold questions, continues on day two with discussions on making bold choices, and crystallizes on day three with realizing bold change.

The forum agenda includes plenary sessions anchored in each day’s theme, as well concurrent sessions that provide thoughtful perspectives through panel discussions and actionable tools through workshops and hands-on activities. Each session relates to NCFP’s principles of effective family philanthropy (accountability, equity, reflection and learning, and relationships) and the Family Giving Lifecycle. The programming also includes peer connection spaces, where attendees can connect on these questions of bold decision-making with their colleagues of a similar role, experience level, or funding area.

Site visit opportunities will showcase local Atlanta organizations who are realizing bold change, and an array of dine arounds, receptions, and other social spaces to build relationships with other attendees.

  • "The National Forum was a rich opportunity for family funders to learn, share, connect, and perhaps most importantly, question their own assumptions about giving and the potential of of philanthropy now and in the future."

  • "This is the most consistently substantive and interesting philanthropic conference I've attended, out of dozens in the past 20 years. Staff, sessions, attendees, attention to detail all were outstanding."
  • "NCFP not only provided an opportunity to gain critical insight to effective grantmaking strategies but also a safe space for people to learn and share their experiences in a very warm and supportive environment."
